The singer-songwriter Fiona Apple was arrested for possession of hash in a Texas town after a border patrol dog had detected marijuana in his tour bus.
Apple spent Wednesday night in the Hudspeth County Jail and was released on Thursday after posting a $ 10,000 fine, said a spokesman for the office of the county police chief, Rusty Flemming.
The music "had a small amount of marijuana and hashish," said Fleming. Having marijuana in small amounts is a misdemeanor, but hash in any amount is a crime in Texas.
